About us

We are expert animal handlers providing unique animal encounter experiences.

Our workshops are fun and educational and are adapted to suit requirements, making them very popular in a wide variety of settings i.e birthday celebrations, commercial and fund-raising events, art classes and photo shoots.

 We absolutely love our work and the joy our animals bring and hopefully promote compassion and respect for all creatures TODAY for a kinder world TOMORROW! 
Over 20 years of experience keeping a wide variety of animals, just for the love of it was the inspiration behind Animalia.
 We are confident in the expert care and knowledge we provide which enables us to combine our respect and enthusiasm for all creatures with a job we love and to share that enthusiasm with others
Animal welfare is our utmost priority and we follow the Animal Welfare Acts Five Freedoms;
1.FREEDOM FROM HUNGER OR THIRST by ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigour.
2.FREEDOM FROM DISCOMFORT by providing an appropriate environment including shelter and a comfortable resting area.
3.FREEDOM FROM PAIN, INJURY OR DISEASE by prevention or rapid diagnosis and treatment.
4.FREEDOM TO EXPRESS (MOST) NORMAL BEHAVIOR by providing sufficient space, proper facilities and company of the animal's own kind.
5.FREEDOM FROM FEAR AND DISTRESS by ensuring conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering.

PLEASE BE AWARE that any reputable animal handling company should have DBS certificates, Public Liability Insurance, risk/safety assessment and should have obtained a Performing Animal Licence from their local authority. Please ask to see these documents before booking. There are also certain exotic species that are not considered by the RSPCA to be suitable for handling sessions. Please also consider this before booking an animal handling/encounters company.
